My sister had her baby!
So here is how it happened. I went up and spent a whole week waiting for my sis to go into labor so I could be there and help out with the little one or make meals or whatever.
Well... the little one had other plans. We walked miles everyday and pushed on pressure points and bounced on birthing balls and ate spicy food! I mean we tried everything to induce labor and nothing worked. So finally on Friday the 30th of April I went home because Ben's graduation was later that day. My parents also came down for that so everyone was hoping her legs would stay crossed til after the weekend.
Well Saturday morning Bonnie woke up with a fever. She went into the hospital and they told her that she had an infection and that it was affecting the baby's heart rate. They told her that she might have to have an emergency c-section which REALLY disappointed her because she wanted to do it all natural with no meds or anything. But they got the baby's heart rate under control and told her that they would let her try to give birth to him normally but it would have to be fast.
So then they put her on Petocin to start her labor and they broke her water and three hours later he was born! And my sister did it with NO EPIDURAL! She is awesome. Not only that but she walked a 5k with me a week after giving birth.
So anyway, baby Jack was havin some trouble breathin and some issues with jaundice and blood sugar because of the infection but now he is perfectly healthy. And cute to boot.
Brand New!
