Except for our company that is! I only put that as the title because Michelle and I were joking about it while she was here. Really, Ben's sister Michelle left us on Friday after being here for ten days and it didn't feel like ten days at all. We had so much fun with her here, especially me since she kept me company while Ben was in school. I felt bad though because I got sick the last few days she was here so she didn't even get to see the Eiffel tower all lit up. However, while she was here we were able to rent a car and drive up to Brittany and Normandy for a weekend and that was really cool. We got to see the beaches of Normandy and Mont Saint Michel. I will probably wait till I'm home to blog about that though so that I can have my pictures to talk about.
I really am so grateful for the company we've had because now I only have to find something to do with myself for a couple weeks. Its hard to believe but Ben only has two weeks of classes left (and since he only has class Monday through Wednesday- and this Tuesday is a pool party that I get to go to- its really only five days). He also has a week of "revisions" (which is basically a study week with no class) and then finals (only one). We are actually scheduled to come home on the Tuesday that his one final is scheduled for because there was a mix up with the dates but we are figuring it out. But before it sounds like Ben doesn't have to work hard over here just know that when he is in class it is for pretty much twelve hours straight.
Anyway, what I was really trying to say with that last paragraph is that we only have about three and a half weeks left here and it is crazy that it has gone so fast. We are really hoping to make it to the south of France before we leave but who knows if it will happen because everything ends up being so much more expensive than we plan for (although it also ends up being worth it).
We are having so much fun here but have found that it can be a serious challenge to stay in touch with family. There is really only about a four hour window where both our families and us are awake/not at school or work. We also haven't figured out a way to skype so we haven't really been able to see Scarlett (our niece who was born just after we left) or willow (my sister's new puppy :-)). So we will be excited to finally meet those new additions when we get home.
Hopefully by my next post i will have found a way to upload pictures but for now i'll call it good.
Au revoir!
