- I had an ultrasound on Wednesday and we got to confirm that Henry is in fact a boy. It was the first ultrasound Ben has been to since I was in Utah for my others. He loved it.
-Henry was measuring at 27 weeks 2 days (at the ultrasound) when I was only 26 weeks 1 day... so I think he is gonna be a big boy! He weighed in at 2 pounds 4 ounces, which, again, is big for his age, all the books say he should be coming up on 2 pounds.
-The ultrasound tech said that I have a nice large swimming pool of fluid for him in there, more than average. So to recap: baby is measuring big + a swimming pool of fluid= a massive belly for me. It's OK though, as long as he's healthy ;).
-I have now gained 20 pounds (those last ten pounds really snuck up on me!) which is still in the normal, healthy range for 27 weeks (I will be 27 weeks tomorrow and it's 20 pounds as of today).
-She also confirmed to me that he is already head-down (cross fingers he stays that way) which I actually already knew because I could feel it (now I understand why my sister walked around for the last two months of her pregnancies saying she felt like she got kicked in the crotch bone...tmi?). I feel like the waddle might be coming on any day now. This also means that I am carrying pretty low now and there is no way I can wear any of my non-maternity pants.
-I have been starting to feel very hungry again, I think it's because he is going through a growth spurt...and pretty much will be until birth haha.
-I am rounding the corner to the third trimester! Ahhhh!
-Belly button is definitely out.
-Still no stretch marks
-Been craving mushrooms, which is weird because I really don't like mushrooms.
-Still have awful heartburn. Sometimes it feels like a crushing pressure on my chest and radiates up my jaw and ear. The first time it happened I honestly thought I was having a heart attack.
-I have no energy. I am exhausted by 8:30 every night and I often go to bed then too. Judge me.
-Overall, I feel great though. I am happy and blessed. And sometimes terrified. ;)
| Ben and I thought we were being funny by taking a picture under this sign. I'm sure we are the first people to EVER do this ;). 26 weeks 4 days. |
