San Francisco

So last weekend we took a spur of the moment trip to San Francisco.  And good news! Our friend Lauren was nice enough to let us borrow her camera so I will put pictures up as soon as I can! It was so much fun. Ben and I love that place so much we want to live there. It is extra special because that is where Ben proposed :)  The weather was warm and we were able to eat some delicious food and see all the sights. Ben actually used to live there when he was like 12 so we drove to see his old house, it was so cool. He lived in paradise I am so jealous. We also saw the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf and all that. We also went to this cool farmer's market but I had walked there in high heels and got a blister. So once we got there we spent the whole time trying to find me different shoes and by the time we found some our meter was up and we had to go back to the car. I felt bad... but I got a new pair of shoes out of it :)
Jonny and his girlfriend Tracie were there too and it was Tracie's first time in San Francisco so we wanted to show her everything.  It is always so fun to go there cause we can stay with Ben's brother Mike and his wife Kristen.  They have the two cutest girls ever and Kristen makes delicious food. It was quite an adventure having eight people in their little apartment though! They are troopers to let us stay there.
We missed school on Friday to fly to San Fran early that morning and then planned on flying home Sunday night (I had to work Monday morning even though we had school off for the deer hunt). But Ben and I have the worst luck when it comes to flying so of course something had to go wrong.  We didn't end up flying out until 6am Monday morning. We had to wake up at 4 to get to the airport, fly an hour and a half to Vegas, drive two and a half hours to Cedar, and then I went straight to work. I was dead by the end of the day.  I didn't get to take a nap though because we had to go see Where The Wild Things Are for FHE.  Ben has literally been watching trailers for this movie since May. He was so dang excited to see it he almost skipped San Fran so we could see it opening night.  He is funny. I would put my head on my knees during the movie because I was tired and he would nudge me and be like "You can't sleep, you have to watch! Have some of my soda!"
Anyway, it was so fun to get away and be able to spend time in one of the most amazing cities in the world with the people we love! These types of things are what we live for. I'll post pics soon!

Syd I just love you! I think I'm going to San Francisco over Thanksgiving! I'll have to call ya with all the ins and outs of the wonderful town :) On a side note I went and saw Where the Wild Things Are last night. I wasn't really sure how I felt about it...What did you think of it??
