So Ben and I haven't had a vacuum the WHOLE time we've been married.
(OK that's a lie we had one but it really didn't work)
So yes our apartment hasn't been vacuumed in the nine months we've lived in it! Yikes!
We decided that it was getting a little ridiculous so Ben did some research and we got one that was a best value on consumer reports.
It came yesterday an Ben assembled it and I took it for a spin. It seems to work great but I was absolutely appalled at what it sucked up. After just one quick spin around most of our tiny apartment it was already full. Ready to see the picture of what we emptied???
Of course the plastic bags weren't part of it but isn't that disgusting!! I mean I don't know what we were expecting since it hasn't been vacuumed in forever but goodness!
What's the moral of the story? Vacuum your house people!
(I'm sure you all do, the moral is for me mostly)

I feel your pain! My vacuum's been broken for two days and i'm pulling my hair out! I vacuum 3 times a day so i'm having a serious panic attack haha. Do you like your earuka? I really want a Dison but not sure if its worth how much it costs.
oh and you shouldn't feel bad! Carpets seriously aren't truely dirty till you have a toddler spilling food all over them haha
You know I almost got a Dyson at the day after Thanksgiving sales but my husband wouldn't let me cause he said he heard really bad things about them. I don't know though I'm sure they probably still work pretty great. I like the eureka so far I just hope it lasts!
Riley and I got a Dyson DC25 Animal Vac for our apartment and we LOVE it. I had heard pretty mixed things about them, too. The biggest problem is that it sucks almost TOO hard. We were worried about our carpet, because some stores will void their carpet warranty if you have a Dyson...but...we haven't had any problems with it yet.
But yay for a new vacuum! Amazing the things they suck up :S
