Today is my dad's 84th birthday.
But you would never know that he is 84 just by looking at him.
When I think of an 84 year-old, I think of an old, wrinkly, frail person hobbling around with a cane. That is so not my dad. In fact, just the other day he was up on the roof of a shed that he's building in his backyard, helping my brother-in-law shingle the thing. He watches my seven month old nephew every Friday all by himself. He builds playgrounds for the grandkids. He works in his garden for hours on end. He is still the best dentist around, with the steadiest 84 year old hand you've ever seen. And he is as sharp as a tack.
Happy Birthday Dad! I hope I am just like you when I am your age.

WHATTTTT!!!!!!!!!!??????????? I am just about to pee my pants right now....I LOVE your dad!!!! He was my dentist for my entire life!! My entire family had been going to him since my dad was little!! I seriously cannot believe this right now. Your mom would totally know who I am, and your dad would remember us too. Lets chat asap!
