Oh hey, remember me?
As it turns out, this happens every year: school lets out and I ache to read something other than textbooks, so I read novels instead. Last week I read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, this week I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and this morning I started The Great Gatsby. I hope to also read The Help and Fahrenheit 451 before the break is over.
The problem is that when I read a good book, everything else goes to the back burner. I don't care about cooking or cleaning and I completely abandon all electronic devices. The results are that my house looks like a tornado hit it, I have 40 unanswered emails in my inbox, we've been eating microwave dinners, and I haven't blogged in weeks. You can see why I don't read novels while school is in session.
Anywho, I'm not going to attempt to catch up on all that happened over Christmas, but I'll give you a few highlights.
- I fit into my bridesmaid dress! Yay!
- I made a fool of myself blubbering away when I got up to say something at the wedding. My dang talent of the 'ability to cry' always gets the best of me
- I finished Harry Potter #6 on Christmas Eve and was utterly depressed the rest of the night. I miss Dumbledore.
- I got some Coach perfume and a Cricut for Christmas
- I got to spend lots of time with family
Now I'll leave you with this little Christmas treat.
Do I have a cute nephew or what?
